The Centurion Access System has a
number of advantages compared to the traditional method of creating
access chambers. As a light-weight, plastic chamber it is quicker
and easier to install than traditional chambers created using bricks
and cement. This results in significant cost savings as no specialist
labour is required to install the product. Our Centurion Access System
consists of a number We can provide both the solutions and the technical support you need to design and specify the Centurion Access System for your requirements. Centurion Access Chambers Centurion Access Chambers are manufactured by rotational moulding with pre-trepaned knockout areas to accept 63mm or 110mm external diameter ducting. These knockout areas mean that no cutting-out is required on site, providing an easier and therefore more cost-effective method of installation. In addition to being light-weight, the chambers have a high impact resistance so they are less likely to require remedial work. Chambers are manufactured in three sizes, which can be mixed and matched to achieve the required height. Their robust vertical stacking facility and heavily ribbed section means the chambers won’t collapse or distort during back filling. The three sizes available are:
All Centurion Access Chambers are available with the following clear opening sizes:
Centurion Covers The Centurion Access System, multi-directional, anti-slip composite covers have been specifically designed to reduce the risk of accidents in wet or icy conditions. The raised pattern of nodules shed water, oils and chemicals from the surface without creating slip paths, reducing the possibility of contact slippage. Centurion Covers provide a skid resistance which surpasses the stated minimum advisory limits, recommended by the County Surveyors Society Working Party Data Collection Unit 1996. Centurion Covers are available to suit all of the standard chamber sizes and are supplied with a standard lock facility to prevent unauthorised chamber entry. All include individual badging to identify services in the chamber beneath, i.e. Street Lighting, Traffic Signals, Access. Centurion Covers are tested in accordance with BS EN124 load classification B125 which means they are capable of withstanding loads up to 12.5 tonnes. Centurion Frames The Centurion galvanised steel frames act as void formers for the chamber entrance, maintaining the clear opening size, whilst the wide flange (60mm) disperses the load into the concrete surround rather than on the chamber, making it less likely to fail. The frames provide height and tilt adjustment at surface level to accommodate gradients in pavement surface and different wearing courses. This allows a high degree of flexibility of the frame. Centurion frames are locked as standard and can be supplied with a coloured powder coating. Frames are available in the following formats:
Centurion Signal Pole Box The Centurion Signal Pole Box allows civil engineering work to be carried out ahead of pole installation and satisfies the highways directive for cover clearance over ducting laid in footpaths. Different sizes are available to cover the majority of requirements and to ensure compatibility with the Centurion Access System. Centurion Pole Housing Units The Centurion Pole Housing Unit is specifically designed to assist in the installation of traffic signal poles and the removal / reinstatement of damaged poles without the need to excavate. The units are designed to accommodate 115mm diameter poles with variable planting depths ranging from 650mm to 700mm. |
