A class of geosynthetic materials, known generically as Cellular Confinement Systems, have been introduced to the civil engineering field as a means of ensuring soil stability in a wide range of structures. Our product, Neoweb, uses this method in applications that include; road or path stabilisation, load support, earth retaining structures and various forms of erosion protection. For detailed technical information or design enquiries, please contact us. Neoweb Neoweb is an extremely versatile three-dimensional cellular confinement system that permits the use of common fill material in even the most demanding load support and erosion control applications. Examples of these applications include:
Neoweb is manufactured from polyethylene, meaning that sections are lightweight and collapse for easy movement. The Neoweb system therefore, is easy to handle on-site, and fast and simple to install. Environmentally, Neoweb provides the ideal solution to erosion problems. It allows steep slopes and banks to become vegetated by providing a firm footing for young roots to become established and it preserves natural drainage. Neoweb also serves to protect tree roots, by laterally distributing loads from surface contact pressures and allowing both water and air to percolate down. As an added bonus, Neoweb enables the use of native or low-grade infill materials, whilst also reducing the depth of fill requirement by as much as 50% compared to traditional load support methods, which results in a time and cost saving. Neoweb is manufactured from perforated or textured black HDPE with 2% carbon black content and has excellent chemical resistance qualities. Neoweb is available in three depths; 100mm, 150mm or 200mm and two sizes; Standard (8 x 2.5m) and Large (16 x 2.5m). The three-dimensional cell walls are 1.2mm thick (+/- 0.05mm) and perforated to increase the frictional interlock of the fill and allow water drainage between cells. Our Neoweb system is backed up by our customer support team who have strong technical knowledge and whom can supply site-specific design calculations and drawings. |
