Line Drainage - Combined Kerb & Drainage Systems |
|||
Combined kerb and drainage systems are a cost-effective way of ensuring water is removed from a road or bridge surface. We supply two systems that fulfil this requirement, but in different applications. ACO KerbDrain is used for highway applications, whereas Bridgdek is primarily used for the dissipation of water on and below the wearing course of bridges. However, all systems can easily withstand the loadings demanded by highway installations.
ACO KerbDrain ACO KerbDrain is an award-winning one-piece combined kerb and drainage system which is ideal for use in highway, car parking and Sustainable Drainage System applications. Manufactured from polymer concrete, ACO KerbDrain is strong and durable yet lighter in weight than traditional concrete kerbs. Depending on your requirements, the system has units which comply fully with the HSE manual handling regulations and components which provide the optimum solution for mechanical installation. Based on traditional HB1 and HB2 kerb stone profiles, the system is suitable for new and renovation projects and has a full range of product accessories to provide a comprehensive solution for highway drainage.
Bridgdek A combined kerb and drainage system, specifically designed for the efficient collection and dispersal of surface water run-off on bridge superstructures. Bridgdek 1 & 2 are available in a range of sizes and profiles to suit site specific requirements. All Bridgdek units are manufactured to D400kN loadings in accordance with the Specification for Highways Works Series 500 clause 516 (May 2001).
Bridgdek 1 - Surface Water Drainage System The original system developed for the efficient and effective collection of contaminated surface water from highway bridge superstructures that may be used with or without other proprietary sub-surface drainage systems.
Bridgdek 2 - Surface and Sub-Surface Drainage System A two-part, pre-assembled combined ductile iron cover and base unit, Bridgdek incorporates a unique, patented, enclosed inner channel which prevents collected surface water from flowing back into the sub-surface.
Ancillary Products Inspection Units, Rodding Units, Outlets and Expansion Joint Units are available for both systems. |
