Product availability update

As ever, thank you for your continued support during what can only be described as a uniquely challenging time for our industry over the last year, and more recently relating to raw material shortages and product availability issues, which continue to impact us all.

Here at C&L we have taken proactive steps to increase our stock holding by 25% since late 2020 to ensure that we could support our loyal customers with product. Regrettably the ongoing and increased demand coupled with challenged / stretched, and in some cases damaged supply chains, unfortunately we are now seeing a number of key partners unable to produce ‘Bread & Butter’ product ranges within their historic lead times.

C&L are working hard with all our manufacturer partners on a daily / weekly basis to monitor these standard products, ensuring we’re communicating clear lead times to our contractors wherever possible. However, having reviewed our most recent data we can see, as we close out Q2 and move into Q3, that our supply chain partners across the Steel, Cement and PVC manufacturing are continuing to experience challenges on a backlog of orders and in some cases we are seeing some “real time” lead times extend up to 16 weeks.

Please be rest assured we will be doing all we can to keep Britain Building Back Better, albeit it’s not the normality we once knew at present, or indeed for the immediate months ahead, but together we will overcome these issues.
